Odyssey of Peace was a multimedia event celebrating the merger of the Romanian communications market, and served as a stance against the guns and violence that marked the Balkan region in the past decade.

 

Firefly used multiple large format projectors, a massive projection water screen, and striking visuals to tell the story of the Romanian people, transforming a corporate affair into an epic production. Using a water pump and consistent suction and pressure, Firefly created a fan-shaped fountain, hovering above the serene water below. Romanian images danced on the steady spray, generating a dazzling effect on the natural canvas.

 

It was the largest multimedia show ever produced in Romania, and one of the largest ever in the Balkan region.

 

The production placed great demands on lighting and sound suppliers. Two years of planning and a 10-day setup required groups of specialists from all over Romania, Israel, Greece, Serbia, and Germany, to work together as one team.

 

Over 100,000 spectators gathered on the riverside to witness performances by The Natural Soft Killers, No Smoking Band, and Greek pop-star Anna Vissi, with millions more watching on TV from home.
