OUR LADY OF THE ANGELS CATHEDRAL

For the inauguration of the Cathedral of Our Lady of the Angels, Firefly pushed the limits of architectural mapping. With a structure 110 feet high and 195 feet wide, the cathedral made for a perfect canvas.

Celebrity speakers, local religious figures, community leaders, and 2,500 guests were treated to a black tie, sit-down dinner, while the sounds of a choir and other musical performances complemented the visual projections.

Three large format projectors blanketed the entire facade of the building, and the global religious imagery supported the speeches, adding gravity and a sense of community to the proceedings.

The Cathedral of Our Lady of the Angels became a beacon of light on the Downtown Los Angeles skyline. It was an announcement that the great Bronze Doors were now open to the public.
